In May 2005 we were lucky enough to speak at the 2nd InterNICHE conference on humane alternatives to the harmful use of animals in education, held in a beautiful, ancient church, in the scenic city of Oslo, Norway. Given Norway's involvement in whaling and subsequent tourist boycotts, this is the only way many of us would have had the opportunity to visit this pretty country. Pity we didn't get as far as the fjords, which are one of the wonders of the world I suspect.
