One of several we saw on elevated mesas in the outback
We tried to walk to this castle on the cliffs above Barcelona but got lost in a wierd botanical garden on the other side of the hill.
The cruise ships that dock here go all over the Mediterranean.
Next to a walled cathedral/monastery complex in the heart of the old city, not far from the sea.
Some of the old city alleys were dark as canyons.
Gaudi was an amazing architect born in the 19th century, whose 'art deco' architecture pops up here and there throughout the city.
This unbelievable Gaudian cathedral has a tower for each of the 12 apostles, reaching to 150 feet. Still under construction according to Gaudi's original plans, it will have taken about a century to build and will be one of the wonders of the world.
You can jump on and off this all over the city; I recommend it.
